I joined Qentinel in October 2006. Previously, I worked as systems developer for a company specialising in IT solutions for telecommunications customers. At Qentinel, I am involved in various testing activities, from functional and non-functional test case design to reviews, test case execution, defect handling and retesting. I am currently a member of a team that is responsible for all end-to-end testing activities on a customer project.
I came to Qentinel because I was keen to expand my knowledge in software testing and quality assurance. This was a great opportunity to work with a company at the forefront of the industry, and though I have only been with Qentinel for a relatively short time, I feel I have already developed many new skills.
Qentinel is a growing company that can offer challenging and interesting work assignments, pleasant colleagues, and good possibilities for career development. The company is continuously striving to improve as an employer. Various internal training programs, a personal training budget, as well as support and guidance for your chosen career path, all add to the feeling that the company really values its employees.
One of the best things about working at Qentinel is that you can develop your know-how in a diverse range of projects with the top experts in the field. As a Qentinel consultant, you have opportunities to work with many different customers, meeting people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
I believe that as companies continue to develop increasingly complex software programs, testing will become an even more important element of software production. To maintain a competitive advantage, developers and testers will need to collaborate more closely than before, and greater emphasis will be placed on the quality of the product.
Consequently, I believe that we will see outsourced testing continue to grow, with companies looking for objective and reliable testing results from an independent source. It is likely that in the future, we will also see new, automated methods and tools for managing and executing software tests.
