Qentinel will participate in training for Valtionkonttori. 11.12.2006 Esko Hannula is giving lecture with topic: "Acceptance and Quality assurance of IT deliveries". Lecture is part of trainingintended for persons participating in extensive IT projects.
Mitro Kivinen elected as chairman of Sytyke (2.12.2006)
Sytyke Association's Fall Meeting on 29 November 2006 elected Mitro Kivinen as chairman for 2007. Mitro works in Qentinel as Managing Consultant. He has been an active member of Sytyke's TestausOSY ("Advancing testing know-how"). Mitro Kivinen will also act as a union meeting representative in 2007 together with Silja Räisänen and Markku Niemi.
Qentinel participates in REflex program (14.10.2006)
Qentinel is participating in a three year research program "REflex" (REflex - Providing value with Requirements Engineering). The project started in September 2006 and is run by researchers from Helsinki University of Technology / SoberIT laboratory. The project is funded by TEKES and 8 industry partners.
The project will focus on three research areas:
1) How to identify potential customer and user value to be provided?
2) How to support the development of products and services as a whole?
3) How to maintain and evaluate business, customer and user value throughout product development?

Qentinel on the Kauppalehti "Gasellit" list (12.10.2006)
Kauppalehti Optio magazine has listed 34 of the fastest growing companies in the "Gasellit" list (12th October 2006). Qentinel is 30th on the list. The list is based on a database of companies of Balance Consulting Oy - analysis company. Only 0,43 per cent of the companies in the database reached the "Gasellit" list. The condition was that the turn over of the company had to grow by at least 50 percent in each of the last three years.
AAA® credit rating for Qentinel (5.10.2006)
Dun & Bradstreet Finland Oy has acknowledged Qentinel with a certificate for the credit Rating classification AAA®. AAA® is the highest of seven possible rating classes. AAA® rating is achieved only by 3,9 % of all companies in Finland.
Qentinel at TalentIT (4.10.2006)
Qentinel Oy will take part in the now traditional Talent IT -recruitment fair held on November 2, 2006 in Dipoli. In previous years Qentinel has been well received and has made numerous contacts. "We have successfully recruited several employees through the event in previous years" says Managing Director Esko Hannula. Qentinel at Tieturi (3.10.2006)
Qentinel will take part in the IT Management event hosted by Tieturi. The event is intended for IT managers and persons in business development whose duties include developing IT strategy from a business perspective. Qentinel will host a workshop entitled "Purchasing quality and the quality of purchasing" at the event in cooperation with Tieturi. The event is held in the Meripuisto congress and education center in Espoo on November 14-15, 2006.
Qentinel Oy's fiscal year 1.7.2005-30.6.2006 (1.10.2006)
During the fiscal year 1.7.2005-30.6.2006 Qentinel Oy provided services to several industrial sectors in Finland. The company's strong growth continued during the period with a turnover of 3.002.947,31 euros and 324.976,06 euros in profits. Qentinel strengthened cooperation with several customers during the period as well as expanding the customer base. Compared to earlier years the average project size has also increased. In the beginning of 2006 changes were made to the management of Qentinel with the appointment of Esko Hannula as managing director. Hannula assumed his responsibilities from Mari Lättilä. Mari continues to work in operative management of the company and in her role as a board member. The customer interface was also improved in 2006 through the appointment of managing consultants for each customer segment. Qentinel's objective in the coming fiscal year is to continue the profitable growth of turnover.
Qentinel in the RIGHT project (15.09.2006)
Qentinel is taking part in a project called RIGHT (Finding the Right Context in Globalizing Software Development). The research project examines systems development processes and methods in real business environments. The project is conducted in cooperation with Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) and South Carelia Polytechnic (SCP) with mostly public funding (15 % company funding).
Qentinel at Nokia (12.09.2006)
Qentinel will take part in Nokia's NISC information security event on October 4, 2006. The topic of Qentinel's presentation is "Focused software security testing", addressing information security as part of system testing.
