Qentinel Oy's fiscal year 1.7.2004-30.6.2005 (26.09.2005)
Qentinel Oy's third financial year showed a turnover of 2 228 000 euros and profit of 183 000. During the financial year Qentinel's growth continued and the company significantly strengthened its position as a provider of professional software quality assurance services. Company personnel grew to 31 and the number of subcontractors to four. The company's growth was funded by cash-flow.
Qentinel at "Blanco Days" (24.09.2005)
Qentinel Oy will be present at the Blanko-days -event held 13.-14.10.2005 in Oulu. Blanko-days is an annual IT seminar which brings together professionals from IT governance, marketing, R&D and management. Qentinel 's presentation at the event will deal with the use of outsourced resources in testing.
Market survey results (21.09.2005)
Aara Finland Oy was commissioned by Qentinel Oy to conduct a market survey on the use of software quality assurance and testing services in Finland as well as the relative positions of service providing companies. The survey 's focused on the largest Finnish corporations and the public sector. Approximately one third of the surveyed companies and institutions outsourced all quality assurance and testing services to service providers. The most important factors regarding the respondents' choice of service providers were well-defined service concepts and professionalism.
Qentinel at IIR Finland (12.06.2005)
Qentinel Oy will be present at IIR Finland 's "Testing Forum'05" -event held 27.-29.9.2005. As well as dealing with issues such as performance, security and integration testing, the event also features a concurrent stream focusing on test management. Qentinel 's presentation themes are "Integration of systems" and "Measuring and development of testing".
Qentinel Oy will participate in the "IT Professionals"-event (9.01.2005)
Qentinel Oy will participate in the "IT Professionals"-event hosted by the Finnish Information Technology Union on 14.1.2005 with a presentation entitled "What makes a tester a professional?".
Qentinel at Tieturi (14.12.2004)
Qentinel Oy is present at Tieturi's Testing day 2005 -event to be held on 9.2.2005. Qentinel's presentation title is "The use of Open Source software in testing". The event features 10 presentations from both technical and business perspectives to testing.
A concurrent event, Tieturi Software 2005 features Qentinel's presentation "Shift in the testing paradigm - from quality assurance to quality production".
Talouselämä lists Qentinel among interesting growth companies (18.11.2004)
Qentinel Oy was included in Talouselämä magazine's 2004 list of 50 of the most interesting growth companies. The Finnish business weekly listed independent companies which have profitably achieved growth factor of at least 2,3 since 2000. Qentinel Oy scored 9,9 on a scale of 4-10.

Qentinel Oy will again be present at the Talent IT -recruitment fair held at Dipoli on 4.11.2004. As a continuously growing company Qentinel wants to present an new type of career possibility to attendees interested in software quality assurance.

Qentinel Oy continued it's growth during the financial year 1.7.2003-30.6.2004. Turnover for the accounting period was 1 446 000 euros with a profit of 125 000. The number of personnel grew by 73% to 26. The company's growth was financed by cash-flow. During the financial year Qentinel has strengthened cooperation with existing customers and expanded its customer base with new customers. The average project size has grown in comparison to the first accounting period and customer satisfaction has been higher than average.
In the next financial year Qentinel's target is to increase turnover and personnel. Company management is optimistic regarding future prospects due to improvements in general market conditions and Qentinel's solidifying its position as a quality assurance service provider.
Qentinel to participate in software testing certification scheme (17.08.2004)
Qentinel Oy will participate in the development of the Finnish national software testing certification scheme. Qentinel is also represented on the Finnish Software Testing Board, which oversees and coordinates the development of the certification and syllabus.
The International Software Testing Qualifications Board's role is to support a single, universally accepted, international qualification scheme, aimed at software and system testing professionals, by providing the core syllabi and by setting guidelines for accreditation and examination for national boards.
