Qentinel's fiscal year 1.7.2008-30.6.2009 (5.11.2009)

Qentinel's fiscal year 2008-2009 (1.7.2008 - 30.6.2009) was challenging. Autumn 2008 brought along a global finance crisis that very rapidly manifested itself as a serious recession in Finnish industries. Effects were soon seen also in Qentinel's business. When investments into information systems and product development decreased, also the demand for quality assurance services was declined rapidly. Large projects were rare but demand for the professional QA services remained steady. Qentinel's turnover on the fiscal period 2008 - 2009 was 5.3 million Euros and profit after taxes was 0.34 million Euros. These numbers were clearly behind our targets, but taking the market conditions into consideration they can be considered reasonable. The outlook in the global economy turned somewhat more optimistic in summer 2009. This change has been visible also in the beginning of the new fiscal year. We are predicting moderate growth and improvement of profitability for the fiscal period 2009 - 2010.
